Overview
Exivity's products reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of Domino
email systems by reducing email storage requirements and
improving email server efficiencies.
As the result of the pervasiveness of email, it is no wonder that
restrictions such as email quota, storage allocation, attachment
prohibition, and aggressive purge rules are commonplace in large
corporations. Furthermore regulatory and compliance requirements
require online archiving of email content for prompt retrieval of
email records. All these rules and regulations drive a negative
impact on user productivity and cause skyrocketing disk storage
and bandwidth demands. A better way must be adopted to manage the
exploding email content, especially large attachments that may consume
as much as 80 percent of the entire mail storage space.
Exivity provides the right tools to help enterprises better manage
the Domino Mail storage. Built on the Atomic single-instance
mail store, Exivity solutions are 100 percent Domino based, and
provide the necessary capabilities to manage storage growth, security
of each mail document, and mail retention rules.
Shown below is the Exivity Atomic Email Management Architecture and Solution Components:

AtomicEMT
processes through mail files and replaces attachments with a link based on pre-defined
rules, and stores a single copy of the e-mail in the AtomicICE single instance repository.
AtomicDispatch for EMT
is an .nsf hook that replaces the document-link with the original attachments when the mail
server receives mail forward or reply request of AtomicEMT-processed mail messages.
AtomicICE
is a server task that manages the single instance; message storage repository
that is created by the AtomicEMT processing of mail messages with attachments.
AtomicClient
is a client-side executable that intercepts Domino replication to restore the attachments
back into the user’s local mail replica.
